Griffon Forest is the perfect relaxation, with beautiful surroundings and a calm and peaceful environment. It was such a wonderful stay and made you feel so refreshed. Listening and watching the amazing wildlife around your lodge is simply enchanting. Griffon Forest offers a friendly atmosphere for all the family. I would definitely recommend this holiday for all the above reasons and it is an ideal location for many attractions near by. We will be returning in the summer to see how the surroundings change with each season. Mr G, Thetford, Norfolk 29 March 2011
We had a great time, hot tub and accommodation was fab. Mr C, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire 16 March 2011
This was a fantastic holiday in a perfect setting, it was the second visit and the accommodation was just as good as it was four years ago. Look forward to going back. Mrs H, Pontefract, West Yorkshire 02 March 2011
It was a fantastic place to stay, very relaxing. Fresh flowers, champagne and chocolates, and essentials like coffee, tea, sugar and milk were in the cabin when we arrived. Everything just at hand for a very enjoyable break. Mr N, Driffield, North Humberside 26 February 2011
I would recommend this holiday as a retreat to recharge your batteries, ideal for a honeymoon couple and also excellent for families. Mr B, Prescot, Merseyside 21 February 2011
WOW!!!! My husband and I booked this holiday for our honeymoon, we spend months searching for a log cabin with that added luxury for our special break that also allowed dogs! I was told about Hoseasons and found the perfect place, Griffon Forest. We had an unforgettable time. Thanks to Hoseasons for being so user friendly, we will definitely use again, and thanks to Griffon Forest for a beautiful break that exceeded every expectation, we will be back later this year! Mr H, Houghton Le Spring, Tyne And Wear 06 February 2011
Griffon Forest is a superb site. The accommodation is excellent, giving everything required for a complete break away from the hassle of normal working life. The wildlife was plentiful and eager for food. I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a few days of luxury and would definitely consider returning. Mrs W, ORPINGTON, Kent 15 November 2010
My partner and i stayed in the Gardeners Premier log cabin with another couple and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The bedrooms are lovely and both had en suites which was good so that each couple had the same space and facilities. The lounge/kitchen/dining area was decorated to a high standard and was very comfortable and warm. The hot tub was the bonus - absolutely brilliant. The staff were very welcoming and friendly - couldn't fault anything about this holiday and we will definitely be booking another trip in the New Year. Ms S, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire 06 November 2010
Great for couples who want a quiet, relaxing, romantic break. Mr G, Driffield, North Humberside 03 November 2010
It was amazingly peaceful and secluded. We hardly saw a soul all the time we were there. Lovely facilities and nice 5* Hotel touches without the 5* price!! Mr C, King's Lynn, Norfolk 30 October 2010
Excellent lodges in a peaceful setting, staff very helpful. Mrs Y, Heywood, Lancashire 30 October 2010
WOW! we took our 3 month old baby with us for our first family holiday and it was fantastic the staff were great and helped us when we needed it and left us in peace when we wanted to be left. Yes it is a little on the expensive side but well worth the extra money. All facilities were high standard and well maintained. Fantastic place, fantastic staff and a fantastic holiday. Mr S, BLYTH, Northumberland 05 September 2010
This holiday was the second part of our honeymoon following a week in Tunisia. It far exceeded our expectations, the finishing touches, such as fresh flowers on arrival and the chocolates and wine in our room made it so special. The lodge was beautiful and luxurious as well as extremely safe for our 12 month daughter. We will definitely return! Miss P, NEWPORT, Gwent 02 September 2010
The best holiday we've had in our lives, the accommodation excellent, top quality, we will definitely be going back. Mrs W, Preston, Lancashire 29 August 2010
Griffon Forest was very peaceful and private. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. All facilities were excellent and Tykes restaurant was fabulous and only a short stroll away. We would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay again. Miss N, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire 26 August 2010
I would recommend this holiday and have done to my friends who have dogs. It was a great holiday made all the better by being able to bring my dogs. Miss R, MANCHESTER 18 August 2010
We had a relaxing and luxurious break. We will definitely be going back! Mrs M, Winchmore Hill, London 11 August 2010
Excellent weekend on a beautiful park in a luxurious, spotlessly clean lodge. We will certainly be coming back to Griffin Forest. Mrs L, Cramlington, Northumberland 28 July 2010
Relaxing surroundings, peaceful. Great if you are taking a dog, loads of great walks. Mrs B, Deal, Kent 25 July 2010
We hired a Gardeners Premiere Lodge it was totally relaxing and set in a corner of the forest and very private. Tykes is a nice restaurant, good food, good staff, comfortable. Good walks we went all round the outskirts of the estate. We would recommend to anyone wants some peace. We used the Park and Ride for York and had a fabulous day shopping and eating lunch by the river. Mrs H, Lincoln, Lincolnshire 24 July 2010
As above, our 3 night break was perfect. We've always enjoyed our holidays with Hoseasons and would (and have done) recommend Griffon Forest. Mrs H, Ardrossan, Ayrshire 21 July 2010
I would definitely recommend a holiday at Griffin Forest. The furnishings and decor of the lodge were of a very high standard indeed, and the bathroom was superbly appointed in our lodge (Gardeners Premier). The surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing, and what can I say about the HOT TUB...loved it!!!!
Tykes restaurant was first class and the 10% discount was much appreciated. Mr G, Boston, Lincolnshire 12 July 2010
Total relaxation, excellent accommodation and surroundings, plenty to do - if you want to. Mr T, Salisbury, Wiltshire 11 July 2010
Had a fantastic week, well above our expectations. Mr M, Erskine, Renfrewshire 01 July 2010
The first impressions of Griffon Forest when you turn off the road say it all. The park and the cabins are isolated from the world and are perfect for a quiet getaway. The countryside is easily accessible and is well and truly on your doorstep. The facilities within the cabin are excellent quality. The proximity to York is just right. Mr K, DONCASTER, South Yorkshire 23 June 2010
Beautiful location, lovely secluded lodge Mrs. H, ST. HELENS, Merseyside 06 June 2010
A beautifully kitted out lodge in a lovely forest setting. An ideal getaway for both us and our canine companion. Mrs G, Cirencester, Gloucestershire 26 May 2010
Griffon Forest is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We loved the hot tub and jacuzzi bath. It was comfortable clean and homely - but not so posh you were afraid to relax and do as you please. Our second visit and we will definitely be back. Mrs T, STAFFORD 22 May 2010
One word... amazing Mr S, Houghton Le Spring, Tyne And Wear 20 May 2010
Very peaceful and relaxing from the moment you arrive. Surrounding area lovely and hard to believe you are only 7 miles from centre of York. Mrs N, Newcastle upon Tyne 05 May 2010
We have already recommended this holiday to friends & family. Recommended to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break in peaceful surroundings & who want to pamper themselves with the facilities offered in the lodges.
The setting was tranquil, the accommodation first class & the staff were happy to go the extra mile to help with any query (we were asking about walks in the local area).
We enjoyed our meal at the local Golf Club & the 10% discount was appreciated.
Can't wait to go back!
Mr S, Blaydon-on-tyne, Tyne And Wear 21 April 2010
location and accommodation were brilliant would definitely recommend others and come again my self Mr M, STOCKTON-ON-TEES, Cleveland 16 March 2010
It was absolutely lovely - a fantastic romantic break with person you love, or just a great holiday with your friends as well. I truly enjoyed every minute and I am looking forward to going again - it was worth every penny! Mr S, GLASGOW, SCOTLAND 21 February 2010
This holiday is for those who want to chill, soak in a hot tub most evenings and enjoy the wildlife. Four of us stayed and really enjoyed ourselves having many visitors on the decking (eg blue tits, cold tits, pheasants, woodpecker plus squirrels and many more). We had the pleasure of seeing two deer one morning, we also saw the badgers via the webcam (we saw three plus two young). This holiday is a get away from your usual working life - just peace and quietness with the option of getting out and about to York and surrounding places. The park has some pleasant walks with the option of Tykes restaurant where you can dine and have a drink - lovely. Mrs D, MANCHESTER 07 February 2010
This was a wonderful, relaxing escape, but near enough to amenities and York to find lots to do. Mrs C, WASHINGTON, Tyne and Wear 06 February 2010
A fantastic holiday in a great and peaceful location, and all the small additions (dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk etc) made all the difference from other similar places that we've stayed at. As a romatic weekend away for us, this was exactly what we needed and more. A htoroughly amazing place to spend the weekend, we had a great time and the dogs loved the local walks! Mr D, DRIFFIELD, North Humberside 05 February 2010
Fantastic accommodation in a peaceful location - an ideal place for a honeymoon. We thoroughly recommend Tykes Restaurant - excellent food and brilliant service! Mr C, SWINDON 25 November 2009
The holiday was perfect! Mrs P, SAFFRON WALDEN, Essex 21 November 2009
This is in a lovely, quiet location within the forest. The accommodation standard is excellent with every little thing thought of and catered for. We took jumpers, expecting it to be chilly at times, but never needed them. The accommodation was warm with low level lighting on when we arrived which was most welcoming. The groundsman that keeps an eye on things came around very soon and gave us instructions on how the hot tub worked. The welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, dishcloths, dishwasher tablets etc was very useful. We couldn't fault this holiday and will definitely be returning again. This was so comfortable we didn't want to go out and although we didn't think we would use the hot tub much, especially in November, we found ourselves in it two nights after 11.30 pm! A great holiday. Mrs D, WALSALL 17 November 2009
To be close enough to a city like York, and to stay in Griffon Forest for peace and relaxation is the best of both worlds. A great holiday! Mrs C, PETERBOROUGH 30 September 2009
A beautiful site, exceptional accommodation, we have no hesitation in recommending the site. Mrs B, STAFFORD 12 September 2009
Very restful, the private hot tub was great Mr H, RUGBY, Warwickshire 04 September 2009
We went for our honeymoon and it was fantastic fun, and placed in a perfect spot to discover Yorkshire. It is close to main roads and the A1(M) - perfect! Miss H, ISLE OF MAN 04 September 2009
The location of the cabin and cabin itself was second to none. The utensils provided, such as plates, pots and pans were ample and in excellent condition and the cleanliness of the cabin was top class. It really was the perfect, luxurious little hideaway, so much so, we are considering the cabins as the location of our honeymoon. Miss K, Ballymena 20 July 2009
The lodges are secluded from each other in woodland with abundant wildlife and even on-line webcams. A jacuzzi, four poster bed, walk in shower, hot tub, all the kitchen appliances you could need and a comfy lounge with TV, DVD and CD in front of a log burning stove. Champagne and chocolates on arrival, golf course and a restaurant a short walk away - a weekend is not long enough to do this park justice, you need at least a week, summer or winter! Mr B, Workington, Cumbria 18 July 2009
It was a total and complete relaxing holiday and it was perfect in every way. I will definitely recommend this to my friends. Mrs C, ROTHERHAM 21 June 2009
A lovely location, the lodges are well spaced out and the hot tub was wonderful and just the thing for a relaxing break. The accommodation was very good and comfortable. Mrs M, BEDFORD 20 June 2009
The accommodation was perfect, in the most relaxing environment and with a delightful restaurant within walking distance. A good nights sleep and a 3 night break felt like a week! Miss R, Brackley, Northamptonshire 16 March 2009
We had a really fantastic relaxing break and will definitely be re-booking! Mr H, Sheerness, Kent 30 January 2009
We stayed in one of the Gardeners Premier lodges for our honeymoon. What can I say, first class accommodation, and the hot tub even on a very cold January night is a must. We are saving our pennies for a return stay - many, many thanks for a wonderful stay! Miss T, Loughborough, Leicestershire 30 January 2009
I would definitely recommend Griffon Forest in York to anyone. The accommodation was perfect and an exceptionally high standard, and we all loved the hot tub! Its great that you are able to take pets and there were lots of lovely places to walk in and around the forest. Mr S, Leeds, West Yorkshire 26 January 2009
We have thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will be looking to return in the very near future. Very relaxing, helpful staff and a beautiful setting. Mrs Y, Sleaford 18 October 2008
I looked everywhere for facilities with a private hot tub to surprise my partner for her birthday. With little success you can imagine my delight when I stumbled upon your website which has an entire section devoted to such accommodation! Mr B, Sowerby Bridge 12 October 2008
We all had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was very relaxing and peaceful and the staff were extremely helpful. We will definitely return for another visit! Miss M, Brentwood 06 October 2008
I arranged a short break to Griffin Forest for my husbands birthday and another couple came along too. The Gardeners Premier Lodge was so luxurious and just perfect for 2 couples. So clean and comfortable! Mrs B, Godalming 06 October 2008
I've already recommended this holiday to several of my friends as it left us feeling totally relaxed and pampered and gave us a real chance to re-affirm our relationship. The setting and facilities is so conducive to romance ... we have suggested that any of our friends could benefit from a little falling in love again ... and we will even babysit!! Mrs B, Torrington 29 August 2008
A total chill out zone but close enough to York etc for sightseeing etc during the day. Loved the hot tub and the lodge was superb, I would highly recommend Griffon Forest. Mrs B, Kingskettle 09 August 2008
I would recommend the lodge holiday to others because they are fantastic, they have everything you need. We will be doing it again in the near future. Mrs S, Reigate, Surrey 14 July 2008
This was a lovely relaxing holiday which was close to York. Tranquil and surrounded by nature from the privacy of your own hot tub bliss!! This holiday was for my 40th birthday and I couldn't have had a more relaxing or enjoyable birthday anywhere else! Mrs M, Stockton-On-Tees, Cleveland 28 April 2008
It was a perfect break for us, the whole place made us feel relaxed and we came home refreshed - thank you! Mrs C, Swindon, Wiltshire 24 March 2008
I had a fabulous break at your lodge. I will remember my trip for a long time, I felt so relaxed and comfortable and the facilities were perfect. Mrs W, Cleethorpes 08 March 2008
This was like a second honeymoon for us, the lodge was perfectly arranged for 2 couples and the bedrooms were private enough for us to enjoy ourselves. We had a brilliant relaxing break and would definitely return again, soon I hope! Ms S, Dagenham, Essex 25 February 2008
It is a really great place to unwind and relax, but near enough to the city of York for eating out/bars etc. This holiday was excellent with great accommodation and lovely surroundings. Mr B, Sheffield, South Yorkshire 30 November 2007
I am happy to recommend this park to others but in doing so may struggle to secure a booking for myself next time, so I try to keep its location quiet - its perfect! Miss B, Bishop Auckland, Durham 02 November 2007
Griffon Forest is fabulous!! The staff, accommodation - everything! Thank you for the most relaxing, yet full holiday! Ms M, Saxmundham, Suffolk 27 October 2007
